Item Description:

The National Hockey League’s fifth annual Winter Classic, the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, was a thriller that kept the 46,967 fans who packed Citizens Bank Park captivated until the final buzzer. On January 2, 2012 in Philadelphia, the New York Rangers defeated the Philadelphia Flyers, 3-2.

This puck was used during the third period of the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.  This puck was one of four game pucks collected during the third period and is now up for bid.

This puck was used by Flyers center Daniel Briere to take the first penalty shot in Winter Classic history. Briere was awarded the penalty shot with 19.6 seconds left in the game. His wrist shot was stopped by Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist.

This puck has been individually serial-numbered and registered by NHL-MGG as No. 143629.

Four goal pucks from the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic and 14 game-used pucks, including the first puck used in the game and the puck used for the first penalty shot in Winter Classic history, were all handed directly from the ice by an on-ice official, to an off-ice official or an NHL-MGG Authentication Program director during or after the game. Every puck was immediately authenticated, identified and secured by an NHL-MGG Authentication Program director.

The pucks used in the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic all featured the unique NHL Winter Classic Philadelphia 2012 logo for this game only.

All pucks will come with a protective case to display your puck.

The image shown of the puck is only an example of the style of the puck.  It is not representative of the individual puck being bid on.
