aWelcome to the MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Programís Goal Puck Auction!
The NHL Goal Pucks Program, the first authenticated game-used program known in professional sports, ran during the 1972-73 and 1973-74 NHL seasons.
Pucks were removed from the nets and lifted from the games by the on-ice officials after goals were scored. The goal scorers were identified, stickers with the relevant information was applied to one side of each puck, and the pucks were offered publicly to hockey fans and collectors via advertisements in printed publications.
The MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history Ö a puck used to score a goal by Keith McCreary of the Atlanta Flames during the 1973-1974 National Hockey League regular season.
This was his 5th of the season and 107th goal of his career.
The goal was scored in the Atlanta Flames' 2-0 shutout victory over the Vancouver Canucks on December 7, 1973. It was assisted by Noel Price and Bobby Leiter. This was the game-winning goal.
This puck is registered into the MGG Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number 146105.
