Description
Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 2012 Christmas Charity Online Auction in support of the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton and charities across Oil Country ! Show your support by bidding on Ryan Smyth's Autographed 359th NHL Career Regular Season Goal Puck scored on October 30th, 2011 vs the St. Louis Blues. On this night Edmonton Oilers fans at the game and millions more watching at home on TV were treated to a 4-2 Edmonton win over their rivals from St. Louis ! Midway through the 2nd period the Oilers took a 2-1 lead thanks to a nifty passing sequence between Ryan Jones and Alex Plante which allowed the puck to be directed in on goal. Ryan Smyth swept around St. Louise goaltender Jaroslav Halak and slid the puck past him to restore the Oilers one-goal lead at the 7:31 mark. The goal was Ryan Smyth's first of two on the night, his 4th of the season and 359th of his storied NHL Career! Following the goal this official Edmonton Oilers NHL Game Puck was plucked from the net by the on ice game officials and given directly to the time keepers bench officials who promptly labelled it with the details of the goal in white tape that was applied to the puck. It was then given to Edmonton Oilers equipment staff immediately following the game for donation to our online charity auctions. This great goal puck will come complete with a letter of authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and Edmonton Oilers Authentic Inventory Hologram #7979 applied to the back of the puck.
