Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 2012 Christmas Charity Online Auction in support of the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton and charities across Oil Country ! Show your support by bidding on this Sam Gagner #89 - Autographed Edmonton Oilers Game Used 2nd Period Puck From His 8 Point Game vs Chicago on February 2nd, 2012. The 22-year-old Gagner collected four goals and eight points, tying a team record set in the 1980s when the one and only Wayne Gretzky accomplished the feat twice and his pal Paul Coffey did it once. As such Gagner was announced as the game's first, second and third star in a thrilling 8-4 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Although this is not one of the 8 point pucks this particular official Edmonton Oilers NHL Game Puck was used during the 1st period of the game and was marked as such by the time keepers bench staff who received it directly from the on ice game officials when it was put out of game use. It was then given to Edmonton Oilers equipment staff immediately following the game for donation to our online charity auctions. The puck is one of eleven regular game pucks (non point related pucks) received by the team following the game and will come complete with a letter of authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and Edmonton Oilers Authentic Inventory Hologram #7977 applied to the back of the puck. Post game Sam received all 8 point pucks which are safely tucked away in his personal collection but one lucky fan can have one very special game puck from this amazing night in Oilers history!
