Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 2012 Christmas Charity Online Auction in support of the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton and charities across Oil Country ! Show your support by bidding on this pair of Nail Yakupov - Autographed 2012 Edmonton Oilers Rookie Development Camp Worn Warrior Gloves. These royal blue and orange Warrior gloves were team issued by the Edmonton Oilers training staff to the 1st overall draft pick and worn during the first four days of the camp that was held from June 27th through July 2nd before switching to another pair of personalized Warrior gloves with his name on them. The hockey club invited their top prospects to attend the seven day developmental camp which saw the team's coaching and conditioning staff put the payers through their paces with a variety of fast paced drills in a practice environment. Nail Yakupov was issued the number 64 by the team for the camp and wore these gloves for on ice sessions held at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park. In terms of condition they show very light wear and use throughout. The gloves after day one had a small piece of material removed from the cuff where another Oilers player name was factory stitched on the gloves and appear as they do in photos starting on day two of the camp. After their use they were then retained by the Oilers equipment staff and autographed on both thumbs by Yakupov in silver marker before he left camp making them ready for display in one lucky Oilers fan collection. Please note Yakupov used his old junior #10 in his signature as it was not confirmed at the time of signing that he would wear #64 full time with the club. They will come complete with a letter of authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and accompanying Edmonton Oilers Authentic Inventory Hologram #7973. Wow...Yak's very first pair of Edmonton Oilers practice worn gloves !
