Description
Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 2012 Christmas Charity Online Auction in support of the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton and charities across Oil Country ! Show your support by bidding on this Taylor Hall #4 - Edmonton Oilers game used hockey stick from his 2010-11 Rookie Season which has been photo-matched to his 2nd NHL Regular Season Game and 1st NHL Regular Season Point ! Yes you heard right this exact stick was used by Taylor Hall in his 2nd NHL Regular Season game held on October 10th, 2010 that saw the Edmonton Oilers defeat the Florida Panthers 3-2 at Rexall Place in Edmonton. It has been photo-matched to multiple distinctive features on the stick that include: the unique factory serial number located on the back of the stick matches up to a photo of Hall holding the stick on the bench, a game related paint chip located on the stick shaft in the "O" in Easton and a long white paint transfer mark both show up in multiple action photos taken during the game. In addition the stick was used by Taylor to register his 1st NHL career point...an assist on the Oilers third goal of the game. At the 7:20 mark of the 2nd period Taylor Hall put the puck on the Florida net where it redirected in off Shawn Horcoff's skate. The play was reviewed to see if it was kicked in and after several minutes of deliberation, it was ruled a goal. With an assist on the play, Hall was awarded his first career NHL point compliments of this exact stick ! The same paint chip mentioned previously shows up in celebration images taken by the official Oilers photographer right after the goal ! This Easton EQ50 model composite stick is in very good un-cracked game used condition and has "HALL 4" factory stamped on the shaft. It displays excellent game use throughout including numerous paint chips, stick marks and heavy wear on the black blade tape which Taylor has applied wax to. PLEASE NOTE...the original knob tape and hand crafted wood knob insert end plug was taken out by Taylor after using the stick. This is due to the fact he recycles the end plugs from his used sticks to his new sticks. This historic game used stick has been nicely signed by Hall at the heal of the blade in silver marker and is ready for display in the lucky winning bidder's collection! The stick which has been safely tucked away in our equipment storage since being used by Taylor Hall will come complete with a letter of authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and Edmonton Oilers Authentic Inventory Hologram #6047. Wow...a stick from Taylor's 2nd NHL Regular Season Game and 1st ever NHL Career Point...only one lucky bidder can have bragging rights on this one of kind collectable!
