Au sommet du monde pour les enfantsL’alpiniste québécois Gabriel Filippi a quitté le Québec le 10 avril dernier afin d’entamer une expédition qui le mènera au sommet de l’Everest et qui permettra d’amasser des fonds pour la Fondation des Canadiens pour l’enfance.
M. Filippi a emporté avec lui deux objets uniques, soit un drapeau autographié par tous les joueurs des Canadiens de Montréal de même qu’un piolet autographié par Guy Lafleur. Filippi déploiera le drapeau et plantera le piolet sur le toit du monde au cours du mois de mai.
La Fondation des Canadiens pour l’enfance est déterminée plus que jamais à procurer un avenir meilleur et en santé aux enfants dans le besoin et s‘engage à encourager et à favoriser un mode de vie sain et physiquement actif chez les jeunes.
L’encan prendra fin le 30 mai 2009.
Reaching the Summit of the World for ChildrenQuebec mountain climber Gabriel Filippi left Quebec on April 10 to undertake a journey that will take him to the top of Mount-Everest in a unique effort to raise funds for the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation.
On his way to the world’s highest peak, Mr. Filippi carries a flag autographed by all players of the Montreal Canadiens as well as an ice axe signed by the legendary Guy Lafleur. Sometime in May, when he is expected to reach the top, Filippi will unfold the flag and drive in the ice axe on the top of the world.
The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation is determined more than ever to help offer a brighter future and good health to underprivileged children and is committed to encourage and foster a healthy and active lifestyle among youth.
This auction will close on May 30th, 2009.
