Description
Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 2017 Locker Room Online Auction! Show your support for the foundation and the great charitable initiatives they undertake in Oil Country by bidding on this Cam Talbot #33 - Edmonton Oilers Game-Worn CCM Goalie Trapper & Blocker Set. This set of white, royal blue and orange custom-made CCM Premiere goalie gloves were worn by Talbot during the latter part of the 2016-17 regular season and into the postseason. Both gloves show heavy use throughout and have his initials and jersey number ("CT33") factory stitched on the cuffs. In addition, the gloves have been photo-matched to Talbot wearing them the night he broke the Edmonton Oilers franchise record for most wins by a goaltender in the regular season, previously held by legendary Oilers netminder Grant Fuhr! The Oilers skated to a 4-2 win over the San Jose Sharks on April 6th, 2017 thanks to the stellar road game goaltending of Talbot. This earned him his 41st win of the season and surpassed Grant Fuhr's record of 40 wins set during the 1987-88 season. They were also worn by Cam during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs! Please note, although they have been definitively photo-matched to the record setting night and playoffs, many of the original puck marks that show up in photos were cleaned off by the Edmonton Oilers equipment staff, a customary practice by teams to keep the star goaltender's equipment looking clean and refreshed. Last but not least, both gloves have been autographed by Cam in blue marker. This great set of puck stoppers from the Oilers goaltender will come complete with letter of authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club along with an Oilers Authentic Inventory Hologram attached to both gloves...#13177 on the blocker and #13178 on the trapper. Simply a must have for Edmonton Oilers goalie collectors!
