This AUTOGRAPHED, GAME USED John-Michael Liles #26 hockey stick comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. John-Michael Liles was drafted 159th overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. After completing a collegiate career with Michigan State University, he signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Avalanche. He made his NHL debut during the 2003-04 season scording his first NHL goal and point against the Minnesota Wild. During the 2004-05 lockout, he played overseas in the German Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the Iserlohn Roosters. After playing with the Avalanche for six seasons, Liles was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in June 2011. In January 2012, he signed a four-year contract extension with Toronto. In January 2014, he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes along with Toronto prospect Dennis Robertson in exchange for Tim Gleason. He was noted as having a positive veteran presence in the Hurricanes locker room and helped with the development of the Hurricanes' blueline. In the final year of his contract, Liles was traded to the Boston Bruins. In July 2016, he re-signed a one-year deal with the Bruins. All proceeds benefit the Kids 'N Community Foundation, the Carolina Hurricanes charitable arm.
