Description
This Carolina Hurricanes PRACTICE-USED PUCK signed by Viktor Stalberg #25 comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. After a successful three years at University of Vermont, Stalberg signed a two-year entry level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs in April 2009. He made his professional debut with the Toronto Marlies during the 2008-09 AHL playoffs. In June 2010, he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks along with prospects Philippe Paradis and Chris DiDomenico in exchange for Kris Versteeg and Bill Sweatt. He won the Stanley Cup in 2013 as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks. In July 2013, he signed a four-year deal with the Nashville Predators. In 2015, he was bought out by Nashville for the remaining two years of his contract and released to free agency. In July 2015, he signed a one-year deal with the New York Rangers and enjoyed early offensive success. In the 2016 offseason, Stalberg signed with the Carolina Hurricanes on a one-year deal as a free agent. In February 2017, he was traded to the Ottawa Senators and joined them for their playoff run in the 2016-17 Stanley Cup playoffs. In July 2017, Stalberg decided to leave the NHL and signed a two-year contract with EV Zug of the National League in Switzerland. All proceeds benefit the Kids 'N Community Foundation, the Carolina Hurricanes charitable arm.
