Welcome to USA Hockey-MeiGray Group's 2014 International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship Team USA Jersey Auction.
The 2014 IIHF World Championship was held in Minsk, Belarus from May 9, 2014 through May 25, 2014. The United States Men's National Team was defeated in the quarterfinals, 4-3, by the Czech Republic.
The USA Hockey-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the one set of white jerseys worn during the tournament by Team USA. This set of jerseys was worn by Team USA in three different games throughout the tournament.
This auction is for the actual white jersey worn by #12, Kevin Hayes.
The U.S. Men's National Team wore this set of white jerseys in three games:
*May 9, 2014, 6-1 win vs. Belarus
*May 15, 2014, 6-5 loss vs. Latvia
*May 20, 2014, 5-4 win vs. Germany
Hayes played in all three games wearing this white jersey.
Massachusetts native Kevin Hayes scored 27 goals and recorded 38 assists for the Boston College Eagles during the 2013-14 NCAA Hockey East regular season. The 2013-14 Hobey Baker Finalist was a first round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
This jersey, a Size 62, has been registered in the USA Hockey-MeiGray Game-Worn Authentication Program as number USA06446.
One set of 25 white jerseys was manufactured by Nike and prepared for use by the U.S. National Men's Team in the 2014 IIHF World Championship. Each jersey was barcoded before the tournament. The set of jerseys was collected after each game by Team USA's equipment staff. Each jersey offered in auction has been security-tagged with an individually serial-numbered USA Hockey-MeiGray Authentication Program inventory tag.
Proceeds will benefit the USA Hockey Foundation.
