This Carolina Hurricanes GAME WORN Justin Peters #60 Carolina Hurricanes Jersey is autographed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. This jersey have a #63 patch on it to honor Josef Vasoeck. It is a white, size 58, 1st set goalie style jersey from the 2011-12 season. After playing Junior A hockey in Ontario, Peters began a four-season OHL career with the Toronto St. Michael?s Majors and Plymouth Whalers. He was drafted in the second round (38th overall) by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and began his professional career in the 2006-2007 season with the Hurricanes? AHL affiliate at the time, the Albany River Rats. He played for the ECHL team for parts of the 2007-2008 season, but returned to the River Rats in 2008-2009. He was recalled from the AHL on February 6, 2010 for his NHL debut for the Hurricanes and had 34 saves in a 3-1 victory against the New York Islanders. He played 12 games for the Hurricanes in the 2010-2011 season and 7 in the 2011-2012. Peters was called up from the Charlotte Checkers on March 4, 2103 due to Cam Ward?s injury. Peters stayed in Raleigh for the remainder of the 2013-2014 season, winning 7 games with a .919 save percentage. All proceeds from this auction will benefit the Carolina Hurricanes Kids ?N Community Foundation.
