Description
Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 1984 Stanley Cup Champions 30 Year Legacy Reunion Online Charity Auction with proceeds in support of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation and Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation ! Show your support for the foundation by bidding on this Wayne Gretzky #99 & Mark Messier #11 - Autographed & Framed Edmonton Oilers 1984 Stanley Cup Double Exposure 16x20 Photo. This fantastic image was captured by Edmonton sports photographer Paul Wodehouse during the team's 1984 Stanley Cup Championship and was generously donated for use in this exclusive online charity auction. Taken purely by accident when a roll of already exposed film taken at the end of the game was re-inserted and used again in the post game dressing room celebrations. It features a jubilant Wayne Gretzky looking back at the team's bench near the very end of the game as well as Mark Messier taking his first sip out of the Stanley Cup. The Oilers legends and members of the Hockey Hall of Fame signed the photo in blue marker recently while attending the 1984 Stanley Cup Champions 30 year reunion. The photo has been beautifully framed with a laser engraved double matte to a finished size of 24.5" x 32.5" and is ready to be the showpiece of your collection ! This fantastic piece of Oilers memorabilia was signed in the presence of an Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation representative and comes complete with a letter of authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and accompanying Edmonton Oilers Authentic Hologram. Simply a marvellous signed photo from two of the game's all time greatest players with a combined ten Stanley Cup Championships on their resumes !
