"Devils former star Joe Nieuwendyk has personally hand-signed this New Jersey Devils Autographed Puck and inscribed it ""1000th Pt""- Nieuwendyk was the 27th overall pick in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft and played 20 seasons for the Calgary Flames, Dallas Stars, New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers. Joe Nieuwendyk is one of ten players in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup with three different teams; Calgary in 1989, Dallas in 1999 and New Jersey in 2003. In 2002, Nieuwendyk was acquired by the New Jersey Devils to aid in their playoff run in 2002. After he was traded he went on to score 11 points in 14 regular season games for New Jersey, but unfortunately was knocked out of the playoffs by the Carolina Hurricanes. 2003 proved to be a different season in which Nieuwendyk won his third Stanley Cup with the New Jersey Devils. Joe Nieuwendyk in his career has reached milestones such as scoring his 500th career goal on January 17, 2003 and scoring his 1,000 career point on February 23, 2003 which has led him to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011.
