On a bright and sunny New Year's Day in front of 42,832 at Nationals Park in Washington, DC, the National Hockey League's seventh annual classic was a last-minute thriller that saw the Washington Capitals defeat the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2, in the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.
On New Year's Eve day, each team held a practice to experience the unique outdoor rink.
