Description
This Wayne Gretzky Award of Excellence Trophy was awarded to the Howe Family on November 1, 2000 by the US Hockey Hall of Fame. They were the second winners of the award in its history after Gretzky himself in 1999. The trophy is given periodically as a lifetime achievement award during the induction ceremony to those who have made major contributions to the growth of the game in the United States. It weighs 11 pounds, stands an astounding 17" tall and measures 6X9" wide at the base. An eagle is featured at the top with a looping trail that has the words "The Wayne Gretzky Award of Excellence" engraved at the bottom. At the base a nameplate honoring the Howe's is present along with the US Hockey Hall of Fame logo. The trophy was on display at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto from 2019-2022.
Shipping
Shipping method is selected when placing a bid. Prices listed are for UPS (to the US) and Canada Post (within Canada), and are shipped via these methods by default. If you would like to request another carrier or require an international shipping quote please email auctions@frozenpond.com.
Auction orders ending on the same day purchased by the same customer are automatically combined to save you money! Shipping refunds are performed 1-2 business days after closing to reflect the new shipping fee.
Winning bidders pay shipping charges and are responsible for all tariffs, taxes, duties and any other additional fees associated with shipping to your location.

For auction orders that are won from the same vendor within a 24 hour period, combined shipping may be applied. Please note, it is at the discretion of the respective vendor or team. Sales tax is charged for orders shipped to the following U.S. states where we have determined sales taxes are applicable. Items shipped to APO / FPO military addresses are not subject to taxes. The amount of state sales tax charged is based on current tax rates.

CURRENCY
Please Note: All auctions are conducted in U.S Funds.

In an Open Auction, buyers bid until the auction ends. The item is then sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction period. There is no reserve price in an Open auction. The seller must sell the item to the highest bidder. Bidding can start as low as the Opening Value (minimum price or starting amount) of the auction. Once the auction closes, email notification providing contact information is sent to the buyer and seller automatically so that arrangements for payment and shipment of the item can be determined.
