This Carolina Hurricanes AUTOGRAPHED, GAME WORN Joni Pitkanen #25 (2011-2012, 2nd Set) jersey comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is a red, size 58 jersey and is stamped with the #63 patch in remembrance of Josef Vasicek. Joni Pitkanen was drafted in the 1st round by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. His first NHL goal was scored on October 18, 2003 against the Phoenix Coyotes on a power play. He was acquired by the Carolina Hurricanes from Edmonton on July 1, 2008 in exchange for Erik Cole. On July 2, 2008 he signed a three-year 12 million dollar contract with the Hurricanes. In 2010 Pitkanen was selected to represent Finland in Olympic Games in Vancouver. He helped the Finnish team to a bronze medal that year. Pitkanen missed his final year of his contract due to a heel injury. All proceeds will benefit the Kids ?N Community Foundation.
