The 2016 IIHF World Championship was held in Russia from May 3, 2016 through May 22, 2016. The United States Men's National team finished fourth after falling to host Russia in the Bronze Medal Game, 7-2.

The U.S. has finished in the top four of the World Championship in three of the last four years, a stretch that has only been equaled once in American history (1931-34). The U.S. fielded the youngest team in the tournament with an average age of 23. Jake McCabe, Connor Murphy and Auston Matthews were named the top three U.S. players of the tournament.

The USA Hockey-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the one set of navy jerseys worn during the tournament by Team USA. This set of jerseys was worn by Team USA in three Preliminary Round Games, and the Semifinal game vs. Canada.

This auction is for the actual navy jersey worn by #14 Tyler Motte.

Motte played in all 4 games in which the U.S. team wore navy: May 7 vs. Belarus, May 9 vs. Finland, May 13 vs. Hungary, and May 21 Semifinals vs. Canada. He finished the 4 games with 1 goal and 1 assist. He currently is a Chicago Blackhawks prospect.

This jersey, a Size 58, has been registered in the USA Hockey-MeiGray Game-Worn Authentication Program as number USA03567.

One set of 24 navy jerseys was manufactured by Nike and prepared for use by the U.S. National Men's Team in the 2016 IIHF World Championship. Each jersey was barcoded before the tournament. The set of jerseys was collected after each game by Team USA's equipment staff. Each jersey offered in auction has been security-tagged with an individually serial-numbered USA Hockey-MeiGray Authentication Program inventory tag.

*May 21, 2016 - 3-4 loss to Canada in the Semifinals Round - St. Petersburg, Russia
