This Adidas pro blue Edmonton Oilers jersey comes personally autographed by former Oilers defenseman Mart McSorley. This jersey features the new cresting materials and construction technology. The ADIZERO Authentic NHL jersey also has the adidas Clima® technology in each of the jersey fabrics to deliver breathability and enhanced performance. Built stronger and constructed for durability, the ADIZERO Authentic NHL jersey fabrics are up to 27% stronger in burst testing and up to 72% tougher in abrasion testing. McSorley played with the Oilers for a total of 4 NHL seasons, 3 straight seasons in 87, 88, and 89, played with the Great One himself Wayne Gretzky. During those seasons McSorley would help Gretzky win back to back Stanley Cups during the 1987 and 1988 NHL season. Following the Oilers 1988 NHL Stanley Cup victory, McSorley was part of the trade that shook the league. Marty, alongside Gretzky and centre Mike Krushelnyski were sent to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for centre Jimmy Carson, Martin Gelinas, drafts picks and $15 million. The trade that caused chaos would see McSorley play with the Kings for 8 seasons. During his time in LA McSorley is infamous for the "illegal stick" incident. On June 3, 1993, the Kings defenseman was penalized for an illegal stick, as the stick blade was beyond the maximum length set out by the NHL. After 19 seasons in the NHL, McSorley would put up his skates in 2001. He played a total of 961 games finishing his career with 106 goals and 251 assists for a total of 359 points. This jersey is perfect for any Oilers of hockey fan. It comes complete with a Frameworth hologram and COA to ensure the authenticity of the signature.
